Mademoiselle K - France's Coolest Rock Band

"je nique le vent et je pisse debout" - "I fuck the wind
and piss standing up"

Rages and break-ups, failures and crashing deceptions, identity and existentialism, all to the sound of throaty, rocking and sensual vocals. Australia please meet Mademoiselle K.

Fronted by guitarist & singer Katerine Gierak, a Pretenders-era Chrissie Hynde-style rocker with her black hair, sultry looks, leather jacket, jeans and cowboy boots, along with band mates guitarist Pierre-Antoine (Peter) Combard, bassist Pierre-Louis (Pilou) Basset, and drummer David Boutherre, Mademoiselle K hit the European scene in 2006 with the release of their gold-selling debut album Ca Me Vexe (It Vexes Me).

After touring tirelessly, the band retreated to the studio in February 2008 with producer Ken Allardyce (Green Day, Weezer) in collaboration with Laurent Binder. Mademoiselle K released their follow up album, Jamais La Paix (Never In Peace), in Europe to rave reviews in late 2008, with the band touring to sell out crowds, plus receiving an invitation to perform at the 2009 French music awards, Les Victoires de la Musique. Jamais La Paix will be released in Australia on August 10 through Craving Records.

Jamais La Paix is an explosive album, constructed out of sketches of surrealistic images with a musical tension that is sustained, maintained and appeased in the purest spirit of rock. The first single, Grave (Serious), which will be serviced to radio and TV from June 22 and out on iTunes on June 29, is an infectiously singable, self-derisive song, revealing a band that refuse to take themselves too seriously!

will be available from iTunes on June 29.
